Mens Quick and Easy Slouch

Men's Slouch

(modeled by a woman)

A friend of mine made me a logo so in return I made him a slouch hat and will also be making him some slippers. I decided to write out how I made it as I went. This hat would probably take less than an hour to make and works up quickly using 4 strands of DK (or light worsted) and a 10 mm hook. It should fit a 23 inch head and as you can see it is a loose fit on my new head.

  4. Hi, love your pattern, but I was wondering if you have to use dk yarn with 4 strands. I would like to use camo. Thank you

    1. Hi there, I used 4 strands of DK to get the bulky look that my customer wanted. If you wanted to use less strands I would suggest trying to find another pattern, sorry I can't help any more.

    1. Hi there, I suggest doing the first 4 rounds and measuring the circle to see if it measures 8 inches. If not you could still use that yarn but just increase the hook size or do another round with a few more increases.

  6. Thanks! Hubby wanted a slouchy hat. I used what I had on hand. Red heart super saver in black - 3 strands. N hook. Followed the pattern as written, the 8" measurement was very helpful to make sure I was on track. Turned out perfect, about 50 minutes start to finish.
